Thank you to Charlene Pring who will be running the Surrey Half marathon on on the 8th March for Kingston Can.
This is part of her story: Charlene successfully underwent several months of chemo and radiotherapy after being diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma 13 years ago. Since then she has brought 2 beautiful little girls into the world and has never looked back…. As she says, "I know I am one of the lucky ones."
So after an 8 year break (since running the Flora London Marathon in 2007) she is at it again, and has signed up for The Surrey Half. She is kindly running for Kingston.Can. To quote more of here words, "as the Sir William Rous Unit at Kingston Hospital includes a palliative care clinic, complementary therapy suit and provides outpatient chemo managed by The Royal Marsden and Macmillian Cancer Support. We're incredibly lucky to have this local unit and they need all the donations they can to support this wonderful place. I had to travel all the way to Charring Cross Hospital for my treatment."
